Michael Harris (whose blog is down, so I can’t link) made all my textarea editing dreams come true when he introduced me to It’s All Text, a Firefox plugin that allows you to edit textareas directly with your preferred editor. Finally I can edit browser text directly using Vim rather than cutting-and-pasting all the time.

That plugin was a godsend for writing documents on Wiki.
Editing wiki pages was one of the main drivers for me to find a way to edit with Vim, after the GMail issue I talked about in my original post.
