Via Reddit comes a link to an online applet that takes handwritten (or at least mouse-drawn) maths symbols and provides the LaTeX code for that symbol. It trains itself on user responses — if you’re playing round with it, be sure to click on the correct conversion. This is probably not very useful in practice, but it’s a cute idea.

It seems that I’m not the only one who had the idea of converting handwritten equations into LaTeX.. a lot of researchers must have while muddling through the syntax.. difference is this person got around to doing something about it.
